I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of our good friends, the Marquez family. On 1/9/2026, their house caught on fire. Over 50% of the house was burned, 3 of the 4 bedrooms, the kitchen and a bathroom was completely burned, nothing was salvageable. They have lost almost everything: Clothing, electronics, shoes, even family heirlooms and photos; if not completely burned, things were fire and/or smoke damaged.

Luckily the family is safe, no one was injured but they literally only have the clothes on their back and have to start over, getting the basic necessities let alone new furniture, towels, kitchen ware, etc.

The Marquez family have always had an open door policy to so many people. They would give you the shirt off their back, a place to sleep, a plate of warm food. They are so welcoming, giving and selfless.

It’s our turn to help them get back on their feet, into a home and get back some of the things they have lost. Any donation helps, big or small, anything is appreciated!
