Rebuild Again: Kalehuawehe & Ligorio Ohana

Devastating, heart-wrenching, and difficult to believe; this is how we are feeling about what's going on right now.

Aloha everyone, my name is Heather and I am asking for your support in helping my family to rebuild their lives again after they lost everything to the Maui Wildfire of 8/8/2023.

What do I mean by "again"? Well, in 2018 there was a wildfire on Maui that destroyed everything my family owned, so they needed to start over. They worked hard to build themselves up and thrive independently, and to move forward from what happened to them. Five years later and another fire has taken their homes and everything in them. Who would have thought that something as traumatizing as this could happen to someone twice? We definitely didn't. Yet here we are.

That is why I am asking for your support in helping them to start again. They are resilient, strong, hardworking, and determined people. The money from this fundraiser will go directly to them and will be used to buy items like bedding, air mattresses, food, clothing, and other basic needs that they don't have as a result of this tragedy.
