Thank you for your heartfelt prayers for our family and Jamaica. Your love and support give us strength.
Hurricane Melissa, a catastrophic, category 5 hurricane has left a trail of destruction across the island, wiping out homes, farmlands, and critical infrastructure. People are in dire need of help and are without necessities like food, water, and shelter. Entire communities are cut off due to damaged roadways and flooding. Jamaica has not experienced a storm of this magnitude in its recorded history. It could take months, even years, to repair and rebuild what’s been lost.
Who We Are
I’m Lily, and my husband is Linton Lindsay. Linton was born in Hanover, Jamaica, and grew up in Westmoreland (40 years), where we raised our daughter. Jamaica has shown us the beauty, strength, and resilience of its people, now is our chance to give back the love and support we’ve received.
We are currently off the island in the United States and are rallying together to gather much-needed resources for the communities most severely impacted.
Who Your Donation Will Support
We are directing funds to people we know personally who are in the most desperate circumstances. We’ve heard heartbreaking stories from loved ones who have lost everything - clinging to what little they have. Some, camping out in the remnants of their roofless or flooded homes, while others are sheltering with their children in overcrowded shelter facilities. Many are trying to salvage what they can; Jamaicans have a gift for making the most out of limited resources.
It’s hard to fathom the devastation across the island, but together, we can help restore hope and stability to those who need it most.
What Your Donation Will Support
All funds raised will be used solely for disaster relief and community rebuilding efforts. As we continue connecting with loved ones, funds will be distributed thoughtfully and responsibly to the most urgent cases.
How we’ll help...
• Essential Resources: Clean water, food, and clothing.
• Home Repair & Reconstruction: Hardware materials such as lumber, roofing, cement, nails, paint, and tools to help families rebuild safe shelters.
• Cash Assistance: With power outages and disrupted services, cash is in high demand. Donations may be provided directly to families to cover urgent needs such as medical expenses, gasoline, food, clean water, and transportation.
What people may not know - everyday goods in Jamaica come at a high cost and ongoing shortages will likely increase prices.
How You Can Help
Every dollar makes a difference in delivering hope to Jamaica. Together, we can make a real difference. Please donate what you can and share with your networks.
Thank you for standing with us in this time of crisis, we greatly appreciate your generosity.
Thank you.
One Love.
