I am Juan Love, Juanlove on Facebook and YouTube, you can Google my name. Born in Canada, grew up in Jamaica. A backpacker, van life specialist, a retired business coach, and professional mentor too. I moved home to Jamaica for minimalist living. Lived in a tent, two bedroom, then in beach suite. Invested in an internet café, fruit bar, and finally a cabin home on sand. A year of building wiped out. Hurricane Melissa has taken my cabin. I sublet my friend’s suite until his return mid December.
For weeks there was no water, electricity, nor internet connectivity. A fixed budget myself under duress. Crime on the rise and civil unrest is pressing. I’ve been sabotaged, scammed, robbed, and assaulted previously on my own premises. I now feel even more uneasy living among nefarious characters. I have a court case on December 10th to address these issues. I escaped up to the Blue Mountain Rastafari Village as a refugee. I will rebuild a cabin on my own hillside property, with oceanic city view of Kingston. I have land, but have had no home for years. A choice previously, that has recently now become an extenuating circumstance.
I’ll live in a tent until I rebuild a cabin and will add more cabins over time to host those who support Rastafari reservations and cultural immersion. Land but no home, truly homeless. My tent was stolen after the hurricane. Donors have helped me secure outdoor survival gear. Next I will rebuild a cabin, but on a mountain now, rather than sand. The cabin gives me the home security, and more cabins become home for others to live a Rastafari Retreat. A Rastafari Retreat is a relationship with Rastafari, Rastafari communities, and Rastafari experiences. The Rastafari Retreat will be my home, healing ground, and sanctuary for others.
Backpacking, living in a van, and my Rv life was cool. Living out the beach cabin was an even cooler idea, until the Hurricane shifted the circumstance. Now I just want stability in my mountain retreat, self sufficient, a home. Off backpacking now in the mountains. I'm very transparent, with hundreds of video testimonials over two decades, thanks for the interest. Thanks for your time and attention. May fortune be with you, bless.
