Rancho Santa Maria: Farm Fire

Hello, my name is Alondra Ayala, and my cousins and I are creating this GoFund Me to help support Rancho Santa Maria, our family's farm, during this devastating and difficult time.

On November 10th around 3:00 am, the barn where our horses, eat, sleep, stay warm caught fire. Most of the horses were inside at the time of the fire ,and unfortunately passed away. It took several hours to put out the fire which resulted in complete loss of the barn, tack the riders keep there, the food we have to feed the horses, and all the memories we had of our late grandmother.

This barn wasn't just for the animals but it was a space where our family came together and was considered our second home.

Our family are the most wonderful, hardworking, kind people you will ever meet and I know there are dozens who agree with me. They have shown support to their community in times of need and I am hoping that the community can come together and donate in efforts to aid our family in their time of need.

We do not have words because we are in shock of this devastating loss. As we grieve our loss, we recognize what it is going to take to get back Ranch Santa Maria back running. As of right now, we are unsure of what started the fire.

All donations will go directly to Rancho Santa Maria. We appreciate any and all donations.

Hola, mi nombre es Alondra Ayala, y mis primos y yo estamos creando este GoFund Me para ayudar a apoyar a Rancho Santa María, la granja de nuestra familia, durante este momento difícil y devastador.

El 10 de noviembre, alrededor de las 3:00 am, se incendió el establo donde nuestros caballos comen, duermen y se mantienen calientes. La mayoría de los caballos estaban dentro en el momento del incendio y lamentablemente fallecieron. Fueron varias horas para apagar el incendio, lo que provocó la pérdida total del granero, los sillas de montura que guardaban allí, la comida que teníamos para alimentarlos y todos los recuerdos que teníamos de nuestra difunta abuela.

Este granero no era sólo para los animales, sino que era un espacio donde nuestra familia se reunía y era considerado nuestro segundo hogar. Nuestra familia es la gente más maravillosa, trabajadora y amable que jamás conocerás y sé que hay muchas personas que están de acuerdo conmigo. Han mostrado apoyo a su comunidad en momentos de necesidad y espero que la comunidad pueda unirse y donar en esfuerzos para ayudar a nuestra familia en momentos de necesidad.

No tenemos palabras porque estamos en shock por esta devastadora pérdida. Mientras lamentamos nuestra pérdida, reconocemos lo que se necesitará para que Rancho Santa María vuelva a funcionar. Hasta el momento no estamos seguros de qué provocó el incendio. Todas las donaciones irán directamente a Rancho Santa María.
