Rally for Tilly: A Premature Miracle

Dear Friends, Family and Our Loving Supportive Communities,

I am excited to help announce the amazing and Miraculous birth of little Miss Tilly May Nations!

Born on April 10th at 8:01 am weighing in at 2.2 pounds and 13 ¾ inches long, a true Miracle princess met her mommy and daddy for the first time and has truly stolen the hearts of us all since the moment she entered this world. A baby of pure perfection and strength describes Tilly to a T and I would love to tell you the story of the Nations Family.

At 22 weeks of pregnancy, Trenna attended a regular routine pregnancy appointment and in God’s perfect timing they discovered that Trenna’s body was preparing itself to give birth to sweet Tilly. As we all know at 22 weeks, it was too soon for this little Miracle to make her entrance into the world. Trenna and Tanner were sent to the amazing team of doctors at MAHEC in Asheville, NC where they placed a cerclage to hopefully keep sweet Tilly in. At 25 weeks and 3 days at another follow-up appointment the doctors were doing a routine check-up on Trenna and realized then that the cerclage had not held and her body was dilated to a 4.5 readying itself to bring Tilly into this world. Trenna and Tanner were immediately sent to Mission hospital once again where they told them that Mission would become their home until Tilly made her arrival into this world. Not knowing how long this would be, Mommy and Daddy prepared themselves to do whatever they had to for this sweet baby girl. After arriving at Mission Trenna received steroid shots for two days to help support Tilly’s Lungs.
In the early morning of day three Tilly May Nations entered this world as a MICRO-Preemie born 14 weeks early. She truly is pure perfection and her Mommy and Daddy could not be more in love with her.
After settling in and discussing where Tilly is developmentally, the doctors have determined that Tilly will more than likely be a patient at Mission Hospital until her due date of July 18th, 2025 where she will continue to grow and prosper until she is ready to come home with Mommy and Daddy!
For approximately the next 14 weeks Trenna and Tanner’s world will look a lot different than they had expected. We do not know what the future looks like from a financial standpoint for them being that she was born 14 weeks early. Sweet Tilly is looking at a lengthy hospital stay and during this time Trenna and Tanner will experience a loss of income for them both, they will need meals, gas to get back and forth from Sylva to Asheville, hotel stays for days when they can’t get back and forth. Tilly is the number one priority now and is their soul focus from here on out. As a community we are called to support each other at all times and especially in times where we can lift families up.
At this time if you are able and feel led to give to this sweet family, any help at all is greatly appreciated. All funds will go towards Tilly and any of their family needs to make this transition easier. I know this was a long backstory, but if you’ve made it this far, thank you for listening. Even a share and especially if you could send your love and prayers towards this sweet family it could be a game changer for them. Asking for help is not always the easiest thing to do, but I know for a fact this sweet family will do anything for this sweet baby girl!

We appreciate you all and your hearts so much!
