Sharing an Update on Matt

A few weeks ago, Matt went in for a routine colonoscopy, and we received news we never expected-he has colon cancer. It was a shock, but we are grateful that his recent scan showed no signs of it spreading to other organs. Now, we're focusing on the next step: surgery. We're praying for a smooth procedure, a quick recovery, and that the cancer has not spread to his lymph nodes.

To our friends and family-your support has already meant the world to us. Your kindness, messages, and encouragement have lifted us up more than you know. Thank you for standing with us during this time, and for continuing to pray for Matt, his doctors, and our family in the weeks ahead.

During this past week, Melissa Becker's husband, Matt, was diagnosed with colon cancer. At this time, there are many unknowns and uncertainties, but they do know that he will need surgery and treatment very quickly in the coming weeks.

As many of you know, the family already has been through so much in supporting their amazing daughter Addy as she continues to fight her own battle with a fatal illness called Battens Disease. Everyone that knows Melissa knows how kind and selfless she is, always going above and beyond for students and colleagues and spending all her time at home dedicated to caring for Addy. It's time that we rally around her and her family as they take on their next battle.

The family will need help with medical bills and also to help cover the loss of salary due to surgery and treatment. Let's come together to help support this amazing family. All funds raised will go directly to the family to help them through this difficult time.
