Rally for Mark Nichols

My Brother Mark Nichols lost everything in a house fire last night, to include his beloved dog "Nikki".  Mark made an attempt to go back in his home to save his dog and was unfortunately unsuccessful.  My brother was brought to Albany Medical Center and transferred to Weschester Medical Center burn unit last night. Mark suffered 3rd degree burns on his head, 2nd degree burns on his neck, he burnt his esophagus & he inhaled quite a bit of smoke and isn't outta the woods yet with that.  He will be having surgery to repair his esophagus and receiving several skin graphs for his head & neck .  For several years he has been struggling to stay above water financially, supporting himself and his boys. He is now in need of everything and anything to help him get back on his feet and reclaim his life.  Marks only vehicle was also damaged in the fire and it is unclear if it will be salvageable at this time.  He will most likely be in the hospital for several weeks and as of right now we are also working on where he will be residing after he is discharged. There is most likely nothing salvageable in his home and he will need to start completely over.  Mark is a single father of 2 adult children, living off his 40 hour a week job as a driver for Airgas. All while suffering with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) for the past decade and has been  receiving chemotherapy for his RA for the past 2 years. Mark has been a volunteer firefighter at Stanfford Heights Fire Department for 27 years and as an EMT for Mohawk Ambulance for almost 6 years.  Mark has spent half his life helping, caring, saving & sacrificing for others and now is in need of our help.  Please consider helping in anyway you can thru our fund or by sharing our cause.
