Supporting Baby Landon and the Brannum Family
Hi, my name is Lilly, and I’m reaching out to support my dear friend Allison and her family during an unimaginably difficult time.
On Friday, October 10th, Allison went into labor, and she and her husband David were excited to welcome their baby boy, Landon, into the world — the final piece to complete their beautiful family.
Landon was born at 8:03 PM, but shortly after birth, he began having trouble breathing and transitioning to life outside the womb. Within just a few hours, he was transferred from their small local hospital to a Level III NICU, where he was intubated, sedated, and placed on a cooling protocol to help stabilize him.
While there were brief signs of improvement, Landon began requiring even more support. Doctors diagnosed him with Persistent Pulmonary Hypertension of the Newborn (PPHN) — a serious condition where a baby’s circulation system doesn’t adapt properly after birth, making it difficult for the lungs to provide oxygen to the body.
Given the severity of his condition, Landon was urgently transferred to a higher-level NICU in St. Louis that has an ECMO (heart-lung bypass) center available should he need it. He remains on a ventilator with strong medication support, including nitric oxide, and is currently very close to needing ECMO.
This fundraiser is to support the family as they face these overwhelming medical challenges — from travel and lodging to medical bills and lost income. David is currently the sole provider, as Allison remains by Landon’s side, and every bit of help matters right now.
Allison has been one of the kindest and most genuine people I’ve ever known — my very first friend when I moved to the Lake from California. Her warmth, generosity, and love touch everyone around her. She’s always been there for others — and now it’s time we rally around her.
Please keep baby Landon in your prayers, and if you’re able, consider donating to help this amazing family through this incredibly hard journey.
Thank you for your love, support, and prayers.
