Raising money for Lewis's Journey

Donation protected
We are raising funds for a little boy called Lewis who has been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, and is in need of adapted wheel chairs that will help support him with his day to day life.

Lewis and his family are very close friends of ours and we have taken it upon ourselves to raise as much money as we can to support them, in giving Lewis the best life possible; with this comes the need to adapt their home, their family vehicles and equipment as Lewis grows.

Message from Lewis's Mum...

In June 2022, two weeks before our son Lewis's fourth birthday, we received the devastating news that Lewis had been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). In that moment our lives fell apart and we were left heartbroken. As a family we are determined to stay positive and to enjoy every moment that we have! We are making the choice not to let it define us or destroy us, but to strengthen us.

What is Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy?

Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is an aggressive form of Muscular Dystrophy that affects 1 in every 3,500 boys born. It leads to progressive muscle loss. Every single muscle is destroyed due to lack of protein. It also affects the heart and lungs as these are muscles too. There are very few treatments available to help all children at present and there is no cure.

We have a number of events coming up to raise funds for Lewis so please stay tuned!
