Raise money for MNDA
Don protégé
My partners mum Sherrie was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease a few years back which really was devastating for Sherrie, her husband, her children and all family.
Sherrie was a much loved teaching assistant at the Oasis Academy Wintringham in Grimsby, she cherished her job and helped to aspire children for many years, as heart broken as she is with her diagnosis and with all the massive changes she has had to endure she is still a smiley, positive person and the most beautiful wife, mum, nan and mother in law. She still makes her family and friends laugh and puts others needs before her own, Sherrie brings everyone so much joy when they are around her. She is honestly so brave and inspiring, she makes everyone so proud.
Lucas' mother and father have worked so hard and have struggled to adapt areas of their home so Sherrie can still remain in the comfort of her home whilst being cared for by her husband, they have had to overcome so many obstacles financially, mentally and physically but they accomplished this with great difficulty. With the help of the MNDA another family could get help for this and not have to struggle as much as they have.
Seeing the changes and the devastation that MND is leaving for all the family, Lucas has decided that instead of dwelling and being negative that he would take after his mum and help other people who are suffering from this disease by running a half marathon, he will be doing this virtually due to Covid restrictions. He is not letting Covid stop him so to ensure he adheres to the rules we will find a secluded safe area for him to run and complete this half marathon.
What a way to make his mum proud and to use all the devastating changes to help other people.
£10 will provide newly diagnosed patients and their families with an information pack.
£30 will buy an adapted cutlery set to help a sufferer of MND to remain independent for as long as possible. (something a non sufferer takes for granted).
£550 will buy a sufferer a tablet with communication software this will give the ability to communicate with their loved ones.
This is some of what your donations can be put towards he above and much more.
Please help Lucas make his mum proud and help him make a difference to other people.
Thank you x
