Alan's last wish

On Tuesday 10th September my uncle Al asked me to create a fundraiser to help raise money for the MND Association in his name. By this time he was communicating only using a whiteboard and pen, as he was on a full ventilator on the Intensive Care Unit at Harrogate.

We only got given his MND diagnosis the previous week, and he left this earth peacefully in his sleep on the evening of Wednesday 11th September.

This was a very quick onset (even by MND's standards) and he deteriorated so rapidly, none of us could have imagined he would be gone so soon.

He really did light up any room he was in, and had such a big kind heart and would selflessly help anyone who needed it. He had a huge presence and is already missed by those who knew and loved him.

We would really appreciate any donations and these will go straight to the MND Association in my uncle Alans name.
