Raise funds for neurosurgery

My name is Vincent Poirier

I am reaching out to share a personal challenge and ask for your support. I’ve lived with a brain condition diagnosed at birth, which, while not life-threatening, has significantly affected my daily life over the years. After ongoing consultations with my medical team, it’s clear that surgery is now the best option to improve my health and well-being.

I have been experiencing hemiparesis due to a porencephalic cyst in my left frontal lobe, which has caused a loss of voluntary reflex and a severe lack of fine motor skills. This surgery, scheduled for late September, is crucial to alleviating these symptoms and helping me regain a sense of normalcy.

However, the costs associated with the procedure, including surgery, recovery, and ongoing medical care, are beyond what my insurance can cover. I will be out of work and recovering from September 24th to October 24th this year. During this time, your support is needed in helping me focus on healing without the added stress of financial strain.

Je vous écris pour partager un défi personnel et demander votre soutien. On m’a diagnostiqué une condition cérébrale à la naissance qui, bien que non mortelle, a affecté ma vie quotidienne de manière significative au fil des ans. Après des consultations régulières avec mon équipe médicale, il est maintenant évident que la chirurgie est la meilleure option pour améliorer ma santé et mon bien-être.

Je souffre d'hémiparésie causée par un kyste porencéphalique dans le lobe frontal gauche, ce qui a entraîné une perte de réflexes volontaires et une grande perte de motricité fine. Cette chirurgie, prévue pour la fin septembre, est cruciale pour atténuer ces symptômes et me permettre de retrouver une certaine normalité.

Cependant, les coûts associés à la procédure, y compris la chirurgie, la récupération et les soins médicaux continus, dépassent ce que mon assurance peut couvrir. Je serai en arrêt de travail et en convalescence du 24 septembre au 24 octobre de cette année. Pendant cette période, votre soutien est essentiel pour m'aider à me concentrer sur la guérison sans le stress financier.
