HELP US BUY A BUS
Donation protected
As a Florida girl the last thing I thought I would do in my four years at Duke was ski, but one day I was (un)lucky enough to be heckled by some long-haired hipsters at a tabling event until I put my email down on their Listserv. Hands down my best move at Duke. That 10 second sign up led me to my family away from home. My padiddle-loving, Imogen Heap-listening, grass-skiing family. My freshman and sophomore year I was blessed with the team’s beloved bus, Kevin. This hand painted short-bus was home to some of my fondest college memories. We parked it in K-ville and tailgated for basketball games (pictured above). We took it to Martinsville, Virginia for a NASCAR race and hung out with some local rednecks who taught us to play Stump. Others took him across the country in an 8000 mile road-trip that I will forever be jealous of. Honestly, even the occasional Kevin-spotting on campus (usually in an illegal parking spot) was enough to make my day. Sadly Kevin broke down during my sophomore spring, and there has been a hole on this campus ever since. Now is our chance to change that. Our sights are set on a mini-bus for sale in Virginia, and we are asking for your help to make our dreams a reality. Help us bring back an essential part of our group's identity. Any donation you make takes us one step closer to creating life-long memories. Kevin 2.0 will be passed down by each senior class to ensure endless adventures for years to come.
