Hi everyone, my name is Jordan &
I’m creating this GoFundMe for my best friend and her family during one of the most heartbreaking and stressful times of their lives.
At 32 weeks pregnant, Sarah was suddenly rushed to the hospital in London after doctors discovered that her baby may have a ruptured bowel. Sadly, they won’t know the full extent of the situation until the baby is born.
Three days ago, her water broke, and she has been admitted to the London hospital where doctors are doing everything they can to keep the baby in as long as possible to give him the best fighting chance. Once he arrives, he will need immediate surgery, a prolonged NICU stay due to prematurity, and extensive post-operative monitoring. He will likely require a TPN feeding tube and an ostomy.
During this time, Sarah has been taken off work completely. Her fiancé is traveling back and forth between home and the hospital to care for their three other young children, creating emotional and financial strain.
They are currently facing unexpected expenses including gas, groceries, meals, and regular household bills.
Sadly, this means they won’t be able to be home together as a family for Christmas. Instead of decorating their home and waking up together on Christmas morning, they will likely be spending the holidays in hospital hallways and waiting rooms, hoping and praying for their baby’s health.
Unfortunately, support from Ronald McDonald House is only available once the baby is born — which could still be weeks away. Until then, the family is trying to manage this overwhelming situation on their own.
This GoFundMe is to help ease the financial burden so they can focus on what matters most — the health and safety of their baby and staying strong as a family.
If you’re able to donate, share, or even just send prayers and positive thoughts, it would mean the world to them. Every little bit truly helps.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read their story and for supporting this family who is so close to my heart during this
incredibly difficult time.
