Good afternoon, my name is Paige crow and I am fundraising to support in giving my Nan, Cheri, her very last wishes, and giving her the send of that she deserves.

September 3rd, we received a phone call stating that my nan had been hit by a car while crossing a road, initially we were just worried about head injury due to a large gash on the side of her head. However soon arriving at the hospital, we discovered this was much more serious; she had 12 breaks, including her hips, ribs, shoulder blade, foot, and coccyx. During nans hospital stay, she would have good and bad days but continuously would fight her best to get back to herself but unfortunately due to her being currently bed bound, she had to let go of her beloved animals - animals she classed as her own children.

The morning of September 27th, my nan was transferred to Hawkinge House in Folkestone for further care. October 7th after a doctors review and second doctor confirmation, my nan was then deemed End of Life, her body was so broken and weak from the incident, it was no longer strong enough to fight - and come October 8th, we had to break the news to my nan of the situation where she then laid out all of her wishes, for the end of life care, and funeral send off. One of her wishes being she wanted to go home for her last journey in life.

October 14th she was finally transferred home, surrounded by those she loved, and who loved her - But October 15th she took her last breath. We are so grateful that we managed to get one of her wishes to be in her own surroundings and pass around people that have supported her and travelled from day 1; however as you can imagine, this was not expected.

It was not her time, and if it wasn’t for the incident, we wouldn’t we where we are today.

Funerals are so experienced now a days, and as a family all we want is the most beautiful send off the most beautiful women.

My nan really was the most incredible lady, supporting those who needed it most, had a sweet tooth I can’t even comprehend, ice creams, cream eclairs, sweets, chocolate rolls, she would eat it all in seconds! She’s left behind a family that are absolutely devastated with her passing, she’s known for her love of animals, and a good old chat, her random crazy dance moves where ever a song was blasting but overall the love and kindness she gave to every single person - any support I would appreciate more than I can put into words, thank you all in advance, this money will go towards funeral arrangements, and any left over will automatically be put towards a stone for her resting place
