Concise Technical and Financial Report on a Well Development Project
Prepared by the Perpetual Charity (Sadaqah Jariyah) Project Implementation Supervisor – Mr. Ahmed’s Well

Subject: Request for approval of an action plan and cost estimate for the development of a water source (well) to mitigate groundwater scarcity in the region.

Introduction : Our region is suffering from a severe shortage of groundwater resources, necessitating urgent measures to increase water supply capacity. In this context, the current state of the well has been assessed, and a comprehensive development plan has been devised to ensure a sustainable water supply for citizens in the adjacent area. This project aims to transform the well into a perpetual and sustainable charity, where blessings and generosity continue even after the donor's passing, in accordance with the Prophetic Hadith: "When a person dies, their deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them."

Required Works and Justifications :

Phase 1 : Productivity Enhancement (Drilling and Deepening)

Objective: To increase productivity and restore a declining water source to service. To significantly increase the volume of extracted water to bridge the current deficit and meet growing demand.

Scope of Work: Drilling and deepening the well to ensure a constant water flow. Includes drilling operations, specialized labor costs, rental of appropriate drilling equipment, and all technical supplies required for this phase.

Justification: The current flow rate of the well is insufficient to meet demand.
Impact as Perpetual Charity: Ensuring the continuous benefits of the well for many years, with ongoing rewards recorded for all who benefit.

Phase 2 : Rehabilitation and Installation of Well Protective Casing

Objective: To guarantee the structural integrity of the well, prevent contamination, extend its operational life, and secure it.

Scope of Work: Repairing deteriorated concrete and raising the well opening. The wellhead must be elevated above ground level to protect it from runoff. Installation of a robust, corrosion-resistant iron cover to ensure the well is sealed and to prevent hazards.

Justification: Deterioration and disintegration of the reinforced concrete lining. Cracks in the internal walls and corrosion of the steel reinforcement threaten the well with collapse.
Impact as Perpetual Charity: Maintaining the well and extending its lifespan ensures the sustainability of the gift for as long as the well remains functional.

Phase 3: Construction of a Solar Panel Structure

Objective: To provide a sustainable energy source for the operation of the water pumping system.
Scope of Work: Design and construction of a robust metal structure for solar panels.

Phase 4: Drinking Water Purification

Objective: To improve water quality and reduce waterborne diseases.

Scope of Work: Installation of a purification system (sand, cotton, and carbon filters) and purification of an external tank.

Justification: Removal of dirt, debris, and limescale salts present at the bottom and on the internal walls of the well.

Health Impact: Reduction in the spread of diseases such as diarrhea and typhoid.
Impact as Perpetual Charity: For every illness prevented by clean water, a continuous reward is recorded.

Total Cost (USD)

Phase One (Deepening) $1,700
Phase Two (Rehabilitation) $900
Phase Three (Solar Structure) $800
Phase Four (Purification) $1,100

Total $4,500

Humanitarian and Spiritual Impact of the Project

- Meeting Basic Needs: Providing water for drinking and irrigation.

- Public Health Improvement: Decreasing rates of waterborne diseases.
Environmental Sustainability: Using solar energy reduces dependence on fossil fuels.

- Perpetual Benevolence: Continuous reward for the donor for every person, animal, or plant benefiting from the water.

- Land Stewardship: Fulfilling the goals of Islamic Law by restoring the land and assisting populations.

Conclusion:

This well construction project is not merely a technical intervention, but a living humanitarian gift—a perpetual charity whose benefits are renewed with every drop of water, every child who drinks, and every family that regains stability. It is an investment in life and mercy, and a practical application of the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) Hadith: "The best charity is giving water to drink." ⚠️⤵️⤵️

Here is a report on what has been accomplished since the start of the project:

• Acquisition and installation of a complete, safe, and efficient groundwater extraction system powered by clean solar energy.

• Scope of work: The work includes all electrical (solar) and mechanical (pump and piping) components, their installation, and their connection.

The work was carried out in two successive phases:

1. Solar system phase: Acquisition and installation of energy production and conversion components.

2. Water system phase: Acquisition and installation of water extraction and transfer components.

Achievements and results:

All purchase and installation objectives were met. The results obtained are detailed below:

First: Solar energy system

• Solar panels: 6 panels (715 amp capacity), including shipping costs.

• Electrical cables: 100 meters for connecting the components.

• Inverter: "Milano" type, Italian-made, for converting direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC).

• Installation accessories: Solder, solder paste, electrical connectors.

• Labor: Cost of installing and connecting the solar system.

Secondly: Pumping and water supply system

• Submersible pump: 3 HP pump, Italian-made, stainless steel.

• Water transfer pipes: 10 high-pressure (80 bar) PVC pipes, Italian-made.

• Pump connection cable: 40-meter three-phase cable. • Electrical connections: Special solder for connecting the pump cable.

• Mechanical connections: Fittings for plastic pipes (10 pieces) and chrome-plated steel fittings for water transfer (2 pieces).

Total Cost of Components (in US dollars)

- Solar Power System: $1,570

- Water Pumping and Supply System: $1,900

Final Total: $3,470

Difficulties Encountered:

(No particular difficulties were observed; implementation was carried out according to the plan and budget.) The choice of high-quality components (Italian-made) aimed to guarantee a long lifespan and high reliability.

Conclusion

The entire procurement and technical installation process for the integrated system was successfully completed. All components meet the required technical specifications and were installed safely.
