Hello everyone, my name is Courtney.
Early on Friday, September 5th, my in laws house caught fire due to an electrical fault. Both of them got out safely, however, the family dogs and one of the cats didn’t.
This accident has completely ripped their lives from them. As many people understand, pets are part of the family. All of Michelle and Christopher’s pets are rescued from various different circumstances.
Alfie - he was the softest, goofiest most loving dog I could ever meet, he is a collie crossed with a springer spaniel and truly was such a beautiful soul.
Maisie - she was your typical cocker spaniel, bouncing constantly around the house (don’t let those little legs fool you, she jumped VERY high). She tried to be a guard dog but she was far too sweet.
Webley - the dullest most gentle giant. He was just a puppy. Don’t be intimidated by his size, he is a labrador crossed with a springer, and my gosh did he have the energy to prove it. But he was so gentle, and fell in love with our yorkie puppy, just wanting to baby him straight away.
Bella - our beautiful sweet tabby cat. She was never one to be in one spot, but loved cuddles and affection.
Unfortunately, whilst also suffering the loss of their house and belongings, everyone is suffering the unimaginable pain of losing all of these animals.
I may have only met this family 3 years ago, but they accepted me into the family without hesitation. I’ve never felt alone with them, even being miles and miles away from my own family.
My heart is breaking, not just because of the loss, but because of the pain they are feeling. They have looked after me, loved me and given me the most amazing 3 years. They did not deserve this. I will never be able to thank them enough as a family, so hopefully, I can at least be here and support them through this.
We need to arrange a skip to remove everything from the house, the kitchen is now sitting in the front garden where it was all pulled out. They have no home. We need so masks to cope with the smoke damage, we need so much more equipment to try and get this amazing family back in their home. Not only issues with the home, but we now have to arrange cremations and a forever resting place for our beloved pets.
We absolutely don’t expect everyone to donate a large amount, anything will support the family, however big or small, or even no donation. All we ask is that you please share this.
We appreciate everyone taking the time to read this, thank you all so much.
