Protect Abortion Rights

Join the Albany General Defense Committee, Upstate NY IWW, Capital District Socialist Party, and the Capital District Democratic Socialists of America in telling March 4 Life to get out of our community and keep their hands off our abortion rights.  March 4 Life wants to bring similar laws to those seen in Georgia, Ohio, Louisiana, etc. that attempt to imprison those utilizing their abortion rights.  In some cases, such as Georgia, these laws are so severe they represent a complete abortion ban.

We are encouraging members to donate $1 to "adopt" each of the estimated 1000 guests (based on Facebook) who will be attending the march in an effort to negate their influence here.   We will also have a public demonstration on Monday to display the amount we've raised and push back against there dangerous rhetoric.

We've chosen the The National Network of Abortion Funds (NNAF) as the beneficiary of these funds an organization that provides mutual aid to overcome a variety of impediments to abortion rights access.  NNAF builds power with members to remove financial and logistical barriers to abortion access by centering people who have abortions and organizing at the intersections of racial, economic, and reproductive justice.
