Project Watermelon is raising funds to help Palestinian families evacuate from Gaza. Currently Gaza has been under siege and many families seek evacuation but have no one on the outside of Palestine to help them set up their GoFundMe account. That’s where Project Watermelon comes in!
As the possibility of a ground invasion in Rafah approaches, many Project Watermelon families are extremely close to evacuating from Gaza. They are moments away from achieving their fundraising goals – which you can help reach at this critical juncture. Every cent of this funding blitz will be dispersed across the 5-10 families. The aim is to fill their last few funding gaps and get them out of Rafah as quickly as humanly possible.

Project Watermelon is founded by Sarah Potter and Dr. Aliya Rahim, who are working together to support the human rights of Palestinians. Project Watermelon is based in Arizona, USA.
The funds raised will be used for the following purposes:
Evacuate 5-10 Palestinian families from Gaza
Meet the basic needs of families after evacuation. This will include food, water, medicine, blankets, clothes, medical needs, mental health support, fresh ready made meals, and other basic needs.
Help the family have a place to stay upon evacuation from Gaza into Egypt.
Transportation from the border into Cairo.
The funds collected in a US bank account, then transferred to the family via western union or bank transfer to the family in Gaza to meet their basic needs. For evacuation purposes we will be sending the money to our team in Egypt who will utilize the funds to register the families for travel through Ya Hala travel agency.
Additional funds will be collected for meeting basic needs in Egypt after evacuation and eventually help the families immigrate to their country of choice.
