Support Pro Palestine Student Activists

This year, UQ and QUT students elected several progressive, pro-Palestine activists to represent them at the National Union of Students (NUS) end-of-year conference. We want to make the NUS take up pro-Palestine and pro-abortion positions heading into 2025.

Our elected representatives have helped to organise (and spoken at) the pro-abortion rights rallies against the anti-choice LNP Queensland state government and moved both pro-abortion & LGBTI+ rights motions in our student union.

We also organised historic Student General Meetings at both UQ and QUT to discuss our universities' connections to the genocide in Palestine.

Unfortunately, attending the conference is expensive. Tickets cost over $1000. The conservative leaders of the QUT Student Guild have refused to support elected delegates attending the conference.
