Prison offenders affected by coronavirus

Donation protected

The Human and  Civil Rights Coalition of Georgia is raising money to help get soap and other hygiene items into the hands of offenders at several prisons across the State of Georgia. It was reported on last Friday that several offenders at Lee State Prison have tested positive for the coronavirus, and several more have been quarantined. HCRCGA has been receiving messages and emails from love ones stating that individual prisons are not providing soap or other hygiene items during this pandemic. We have confirmed that at least 12 offenders at Rutledge State Prison have not received soap or hygiene items sense the GDC announced the first cases of the virus. We are working with prison Chaplins to get these items into the hands of the offenders that need them.
