Where do I begin with this family? Anyone who knows Shawna and Anthony would say they are wonderful parents, kind, caring, selfless and strong. They recently bought a new home and have started a new journey, creating memories together in Queen Creek, AZ. They have two beautiful daughters, Reagan, 4 and Haven, 2. Unfortunately, tragedy struck the Andersons and it has turned their world upside down.
On Saturday May 20th, their youngest daughter had a near drowning and has been in the ICU, on life support, for 2 weeks. The most recent MRI shows she has sustained severe brain damage and that her future is unknown. Her parents haven't left her side and continue to have family taking turns caring for their oldest daughter, Reagan. The nurses, doctors and staff, at Cardon Children's Medical Center in Mesa AZ, have done an amazing job caring for Haven, as well as falling in love with the entire family.
Both Shawna and Anthony have a long career in the Air Force Reserves and are currently in the National Guard. They both have been deployed more than once, to Afghanistan and Iraq (where they met!), sacrificing time away from their family, to serve this country. Now it's our turn to give back to them. Although they have not requested monetary assistance, I know a lot of family and friends who have asked "What can we do? How can we help?" Funds donated would help with the unforeseen medical bills that will soon start pouring in. With both of them taking time away from work, my goal (with your help!) is to ease some of their stress and help this deserving family with this financial burden.
