Barth Derryberry Stroke Fund

Barth Derryberry is a beloved husband, father, grandfather and teacher who suffered a major stroke on February 23, 2015.  A very large blood clot traveled from his lungs to his brainstem.  Despite incredible odds he lived, however the damage from the stroke resulted in nearly a month of critical care to be followed by extensive rehabilitation. 

Barth is a lifetime educator and coach working with young people for over 30 years. He is passionate about history, humanities, sports, and the success of each child he has the priviledge of influencing. And his influence has been great! Many of the people he has touched over a lifetime have asked how they can help.  This GoFundMe was set up to enable those offers, as help is truly needed.

God has blessed us with a miracle.  Time and time again Barth has proved he is going to fight for his life, but it is a very long road ahead.  In addition to medical expenses, there are lost wages, a new vehicle purchase to accomodate a wheelchair transfer, and renovations to his home to accomodate accessibility.
