Please help Zack’s Fight against Leukemia

In July of 2022 Zack was diagnosed with Mixed-phenotype acute leukemia (MPAL).

This news has been devastating to everyone who knows Zack.

Zack is a devoted father, husband, son and friend, and now Zack is about to enter the fight of his life, and he needs our help!

If I could describe Zack in 3 words, they would be: diligent, kind, and humble. Zack has worked his whole life to get to where he is; he graduated high school at the top of his class, maintained a 4.0 GPA in college while studying Chemical Engineering, completed medical school in May 2019, and is currently in the midst of his 4th year of residency where he is the chief resident. Seeing Zack reach his goals one-by-one through his unwavering work ethic has brought everyone around him so much joy. He deserves all the success he has had in life and more.

Unfortunately, a leukemia diagnosis has derailed all the work Zack has put in, and instead of continuing his hard work helping patients, he is in the hospital undergoing cancer treatments. His fight has just begun, and my goal is to make sure he can focus on his fight and nothing else.

Zack is married to his wonderful high school sweetheart Jamie. Jamie worked hard as a teacher to support them while Zack was in medical school, and she has stood by Zack every step of the way. They welcomed their adorable son, Wes, in March 2021. Jamie and Wes are Zack’s entire world, and I know he works hard in order to provide them with the best life possible. Being in the hospital and not being home with them is incredibly hard for him.

This is an very challenging time for Zack and Jamie, as they are currently paying off Zack’s medical school debt and are now challenged with pausing Zack’s residency while he is in treatment.

Please consider helping Zack, Jamie, and Wes to help support them through Zack’s cancer treatment. Funds will be used to cover medical costs and living expenses while Zack is in treatment. We want to get Zack healthy again, and back in the hospital doing what he loves - helping others.
