Please help with cremation and urn for Betty.

Betty had a basilar artery stroke on 02/11/22. She was airlifted from our hometown of Texarkana to Tyler, TX where she is receiving the most phenomenal care.

I am trying to keep her son and husband close to her at the hospitality house across the street from the hospital. She absolutely can’t stand to be alone so I’m certain in such a terrifying time, she would want them beside her as much as possible. And of course, they want to stay beside her as much as they can as well.

As all emergencies go, this was very unexpected. We appreciate any and all help no matter how small! The cheapest and closest room is here at the hospitality house in Tyler. It is $65 nightly or we can sign a 30 day contract and get it down to $45 nightly. The goal on the fundraiser is for the 30 day amount.

If by the grace of god we are able to leave before that, we will use the funds for gas, groceries, and any special equipment or care she may require. Below is her current medical status that is explained a bit better than the picture with so many medical terms.

The TPA medication did shrink the blood clot some, but it was a larger stroke than they originally thought! She has infarcts caused from the clot. Which means when the clot stopped the blood flow, parts of her brain didn't get the blood they needed so damage occurred! One part control's her vision, one controls her throat, and the other controls her legs and walking. There is a chance all those things fix themselves as the brain heals! But there is a chance things stay how they are, as well as a chance they could get worse. Unfortunately we just have to wait and see. We do know it's going to be longer than we thought before she can be taken off the ventilator. The ventilator is NOT breathing for her thankfully she is doing that on her own! It is just supporting and protecting her airway! But we are seeing more improvement in her today and yesterday than Saturday! She squeezed Glenn’s hand yesterday after he asked! It wasn't a strong squeeze and she only did it once, but it was the strongest so far! She recognizes when you talk to her most of the time! She responded quite well when Glenn Sr. first got to her room she heard his voice!! She started wiggling big time! She's not opened her eyes yet but I know she hears us and knows we are there! Basically it's all just wait and see and wait for her brain to heal itself so we can see what damage the stroke did and what her restrictions will be! I will say the hospital in Tyler tx has got some amazing nurses and Dr's and we feel like she's getting the best care possible here!
