Please Help Support Tylen’s Adoption

Have you ever wished you could help provide a sweet child with an opportunity for a much better life?  Some time ago my friend Rosalind Massey, a retired disabled veteran, at age 63, made a life altering decision to share her life with a child in dire need and she’s never looked back! Today she needs a helping hand to finance Tylen’s adoption. Four years ago at her church Rosalind watched  as a beautiful down on her luck grandmother struggled to provide for her 4 grandchildren, abandoned by their maternal parents, When Rosalind learned that this poor woman was reduced to sleeping in her car to rescue them she stepped up by offering little 7 y.o. Tylen a warm place to lay his little head, regular home cooked meals, an education. and a stable bright future. One in which he would thrive, rather than simply survive. Rosalind was freely given custody of this child. Tylen is now 11 and today she’s looking to further improve and secure his future by formally adopting him.  My friend Rosalind has served our country for 21 years before she returned home disabled. She is kind, intelligent, trustworthy, responsible and quite independent. While she understands that if she passes prematurely Tylen will only share in her pension by adoption, she requires at least $3500 to make this happen. I have watched her scrimp and save for the past 2 years, never realizing until recently that she had been planning to do so this year. But now the disastrous pandemic is draining her finances. She could use some assistance with hiring a great family law person to make their dream of him being her son in every way come true. You can help Rosalind and Tylen with their dream by prayerfully considering a monetary donation to this fund that I have set up. Not only will you be helping secure Tylen’s future, you will be blessing me as I have vowed to watch her and help her through this entire process. Together we can make sure it’s handled properly yet swiftly, as none of us know the time or day our lives may get cut short. I’d like to share with you how I know Rosalind so well and why I feel so strongly that this is a worthy cause you can feel good about contributing to. Two years ago Rosalind came into my life, responding to a sign in the yard for my rental home. She would later tell me as she drove by, she didn’t have much hope of being able to rent the property, which was right across from the school little Tylen was enrolled in. I’ll never forget her reply when I invited her to come have a look. She meekly said, “I should tell you, I’m black.” And I remember as if it were yesterday my saying, “And you’re a perfectly lovely black lady too....when can you be here?” That was the start of our landlord tenant relationship.  Today Rosalind is still a tenant but more so a friend. She is one of a very few people I know that I would trust with my life. Not only mine but my precious mother’s life as well. She is a good, kind, understanding friend who I’ve watched consistently handle her obligations, problems as well as opportunities with a positive attitude, integrity and zeal. Rosalind is a God fearing warrior of a woman and she’s making a difference for the better  in Tylen’s life. I very much admire and am always inspired by her. She told me when she quietly  explained her situation those years  ago, “I knew I couldn’t save them all, but I knew I could save one”. Anything donated is greatly appreciated.
