Please Help Save Baby Ray with Heart Repair

Donación protegida
Ray Lóng Miller, the son of Kent and Cheryl (Cheng Li) Miller, was born in May 2020 with a congenital heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot.  This heart defect prevents the blood from getting enough oxygen to deliver to the body.  It is critically serious!

Eventually this heart defect completely blocks blood flow to the lungs.

Tetralogy of Fallot (ToF) is actually four ("tetralogy") intertwined heart problems, discovered by the French physician Étienne-Louis Arthur Fallot.  These defects must be repaired carefully and delicately by advanced open-heart surgery, and it must be fixed very soon: before Thanksgiving of this year.

The complex and required surgery is not fully covered by Ray's health insurance, and the cost of the surgery is over $100,000.

These funds must be raised immediately in order to save Ray.

Please... help save Ray!   He can survive this, but he needs your help.

About Ray and his family...
Ray Lóng Miller is the first and only son of Kent & Cheryl (Cheng Li) Miller of Stratford, CT.
Ray has a four year old sister, Madison.
Kent & Cheryl (Cheng Li) had been trying to have a second child--a sibling for Madison--for over two years, suffering two miscarriages.

Their prayers answered, Cheryl (Cheng Li) became pregnant again.  But then, at the 20-week ultrasound visit, while viewing the baby's heart on the screen, Kent thought, "Something doesn't look right!"   Sadly, that was the day the doctor told them Ray had a major heart defect, which later was confirmed to be Tetralogy of Fallot.
Thankfully, their infant boy survived the pregnancy and baby Ray was born.

Ray was named after his paternal grandfather... who suddenly passed away several years ago, the same day he was supposed to meet Ray's mom Cheryl (Cheng Li) for the first time... which was also on her birthday!
Ray is now the youngest male in the whole Miller family.

Ray's parents and sister, extended family, and close friends thank you if you're able to help save Ray's life.  Your gift of life will be cherished forever!  Thank you, God bless!

About Rich Giordano and this Fundraiser...
Rich Giordano is known to the Miller kids as "Uncle Rich."  In fact, Rich and Kent were born on the same day and Rich is only about 14 hours younger than Kent.  The Giordanos and the Millers all live in Stratford, Connecticut, and attend the same church.

When Rich found out about Ray's heart defect, he wanted to do all he could to help, so he set up this Fundraiser after finding out that the surgery at Boston Children's Hospital was not authorized by the Millers' insurance plan.

The funds will be used to pay for a valve sparing surgical repair of Ray's Tetralogy of Fallot at Boston Children's Hospital and/or any other medical expenses related to his heart condition.

The funds will be deposited into a Uniform Trust for Minors Account that Rich and Kent set up for Ray to preserve the funds for Ray's benefit.  Kent asked Rich to be the Custodian of this account for the sake of transparency.
