My name is Chris Fail, and I’m raising funds for my daughter, Ashaylah Sumbler, and our family. Since last April, our family has faced one hardship after another. I lost my mother to cancer, and my youngest daughter abandoned her child, leaving us to care for her. Then, Ashaylah suffered life-altering medical complications while under Kaiser care, including sepsis, blood clots, and intracranial pressure, which required three months in a nursing home — during which she lost her eyesight permanently.

Caring for Ashaylah and my granddaughter has meant I’ve had to stop working, and we’ve fallen behind on rent. Our family is all I have left, and I cannot bear the thought of us breaking apart.

I’m embarrassed to ask for help, but we need support to care for Ashaylah and my granddaughter, and keep our home. Every donation — no matter the size — will help provide stability, hope, and a safe home for them and our family.

1000 will be used to bring PG&E current and the remaining be used to repay our water bill, put groceries in the home and transport my 4yr old granddaughter to and from pre-k and as well as my older daughter to and from Doctora appts.
