Dear friends:

As we're approaching Christmas, a time of hope and compassion, my family in Peru is facing an overwhelming medical emergency. Both my elderly father an my sister urgently need that we cannot afford.

My father Anselmo (87),has a severe heart condition. After a mild heart attack and pneumpnil in June 2025 , he fell in the hospital and broke his hip. Doctors could not operate because his heart is too weak. He has been sent home unable to walk and in need of care.

My sister Juana (61), who had been caring for him suffered a stroke in September.

At hospital Honorio Delgado in Arequipa-Peru Doctors discovered a brain tumor. Although it was surgically removed, she developed complications and severe brain damage. She is now in a coma and we hope from her recovery.

Juana has not health insurance and the hospital is insisting of sending her home due to lack of available beds. But caring for her at home requires equipment and medical support we simply cannot provide.

•Hygiene supplies and ongoing medical care .

•A trained caregiver to feed her through a tube and monitor her condition.

My family is devastated and financially exhausted. We are doing everything we can but the cost are far beyond our means.
