Please Help Little Avett Walk Again

At just 10 weeks of age little Avett has experienced the worst of human kind and the best.  Cruelly thrown out of a truck on the I15 freeway during rush hour traffic he was saved by a good Samaritan who witnessed the horrific act, pulled over and coaxed little Avett to her and then rushed him to an emergency vet.  Avett was in horrible shock and suffered several fractures leaving him unable to walk. Technically a stray under the jurisdiction of the Murray animal shelter, Avett could not officially be taken into rescue, adopted or receive anymore than palliative care until his stray hold was up.  Thankfully, the Murray shelter allowed Herding Haven Rescue to provide palliative care set Avett up in a foster home to serve out his stray hold in comfort.  As fate would have it, the good Samaritin who saved Avett offered to foster Avett and today, his stray hold is up, so Avett is officially part of Herding Haven rescue and he will be undergoing surgery on Thursday (June 13) to repair his multiple fractures. Dr. Becker at Granite Veterinary Specialists will be performing the surgery and it is our hope that little Avett will not only walk again, but get to run, play and just be a puppy!  We are seeking donations to help cover the costs of Avett's surgery which have been estimated to be $4000.00 as we as additional costs for his continued rehab.  Herding Haven is a 501c3 non-profit rescue organization for dogs with special needs, so your donations will be tax deductible.  Thank you in advance for helping us help Avett.  We will post updates on his progress!
