Please help Jason Wells beat cancer
Spende geschützt
I am Jason's fiancé and soon to be wife Patty. Jason and I have been together for 10 years. He has no children of his own but has assisted me in raising three of his four step-children. The bond he has built with the kids is as strong as if they were his own. Jason's positive outlook on life and his genuine and sincere disposition makes him such a joy to be around. If you know Jason, you love him wether you are his family or his friend.
On March 16 th, 2017 at the age of 42 Jason was diagnosed with endocarcinoma lung cancer which has progressed and spread to his brain where there are 8 lesions.
Jason has worked with computers and has repaired electronics most his life and we believe that years of soldering components with lead has greatly contributed to acquiring this cancer at such a young age. We are only beginning our battle with cancer so there is still much left unknown. With all the bad news we have received over the past few weeks Jason has remained positive and has no doubt that he will beat this. The doctors have told us this is going to be a very long journey and that it is not going to be an easy one. Jasons cancer is being treated rapidly & aggressively. He has began full brain radiation and his cancer cells are being tested to see if he is a candidate for immunotherapy. Once Jason is done with radiation in two weeks they will begin treating his lungs with chemotherapy and hopefully immunotherapy. Depending on how the cancer reacts to treatment they might be able to surgically remove any remaining cancer left on the brain and they will also remove his left lung.
This news has already changed our lives in such a short time. We are already beginning to recognize there will be a need in the future. With all the doctor appointments required for his urgent need of care the medical bills are growing fast. On my single income budget I will definitely struggle to meet our responsibilities. Jason cannot work at this time and is no longer able to drive and I am solely responsible for his transportation and home care needs. Therefore, I am also experiencing a lot of lost time from my own employment.
Donations are appreciated and will be used to ensure Jason is able to get the care he needs and to assist our family in any financial struggles we soon will meet.
Please join Jason and his family in his fight to beat cancer any donation great or small is equally appreciated. Even if the only donation you can give is in the form of a dollar or a simple prayer our family thanks you for your generosity and your support. I will do my best to keep our supporters updated as to the progress in which Jason makes.
Thank you all for taking the time to read about our journey. ~ Patty K.
