Harpers Open Heart Surgery
Donación protegida
Hello to all of you that are taking time to visit this page,
my name is McKenzie and I am starting this page on behalf of my best friend Harper. Harper was diagnosed with Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Return in March of 2015. This diagnosis came after years of health issues.
In 2007 Harper had her first scare of heart issues with the possible diagnosis of Long QT Syndrome. Genetic testing came back negative but Harper was still required to be followed by the cardiologist. Finally in 2012 after a few "normal" EKG's and Echo's Harper was discharged. Then in 2014 at a routine checkup the doctor found an abnormally high heart rate and back to the cardiologist It was. Harper was diagnosed with Ventricular Tachycardia and was admitted to The Children's Hospital for a radiofrequency catheter ablation. At the follow up appointment after this procedure the cardiologist noticed an abnormality in the way the blood was getting pumped out of Harper's heart. A MRI was done and Harper was diagnosed with Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Return and will now need open heart surgery to correct the defect.
As a single mom Harper's mom has been the one to go above and beyond for others in times of need and would never be one to ask for help. That is why I think it is so important to rally together to help her as she has helped so many others countless times.
Harpers family is grateful that the prognosis for her is positive, however, the financel burden is great. With that being said I am reaching out for help to minimize the stress factor on out of pocket medical expenses along with the fact that Harper's mom will be out of work For the 6-8 weeks of Harper's recovery. I also want to thank everyone in advance for their love, support, and well wishes for Harper and her family as they go through this.
Left over money will be donated to The American Heart Association and Nicklaus Children's Hospital.
