Every Step for Something Bigger:

On the 5th of October 2025, I’ll be running the Kielder Marathon – my very first marathon – and it’s no easy feat. This isn’t just a standard 26.2 miles. The course winds through remote trails, sharp inclines, and forest climbs, totaling a grueling 27.4 miles with an elevation gain of 2,069 feet.

To put that into perspective – that’s like running up and down Roseberry Topping nearly three times, or climbing halfway up Mount Snowdon... on foot... while still pushing through over a marathon’s worth of distance. And I'm doing it for a team that inspires me every single week: Peterlee Town Girls FC.

As one of the coaches of this brilliant group of girls, I get to witness something special. Over the past year, I’ve watched them grow – in confidence, in character, and as a team. They’ve had their fair share of challenges – tough games, cold mornings, and the usual ups and downs – but their resilience is something that sticks with you.

They don’t give up. They lift each other up. They give it everything.

And that’s exactly what I’ll be doing out there on the hills of Kielder – giving everything for them.

The money raised will go towards helping the team continue to thrive – from new kit and equipment to covering general running costs and tournament opportunities. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a real difference in their football journey.
