We, at Reach for the Stars Learning Center, are deeply saddened by the untimely passing of our colleague and friend, Peter Agbayo. At only 26 years old, Peter dedicated his life to helping children with disabilities. He was a unique and special person, who touched the lives of many.
Peter became a member of the Reach for the Stars family earlier this year, teaching students with autism spectrum disorder, and immediately made a positive mark. The strong bond he formed with his students was one of a kind. His respect and patience paved a path that led the students to him.
Peter's gift was evident to all of the Reach for the Stars staff. His strong work ethic, true dedication, and love for his career was evident from the start. His absence leaves a void in our tight knit community.
When Peter interviewed for a position at Reach for the Stars Learning Center, one of the questions asked was, "Why are you interested in working in the field of Autism?", and with confidence and love in his heart, he responded that it was a passion he found because of his girlfriend’s brother with special needs. Peter was moved by this young man and knew that his career path must involve helping people with disabilities.
Peter will always have a lasting impression on the hearts of both his students and collegues. He was a special soul. A true gift to our community. We can only hope to meet more people like him who impact the community of people with Autism in the way he has done at Reach for the Stars.
As a team, our goal is to raise $10,000 to offer financial assistance to his family during this tragic time. Please share Peter's story and remember that every dollar helps.
