Dr. Santiago owns East Orange Animal Hospital. My brother has been using his services for about 8 years now when his puppies became ill. Five (yes you read that correctly, FIVE) other veterinarians told him it was impossible to save them and to just put them down. When he ended up seeing Dr. Santiago he was told the chances were slim but he would try his best. Although two puppies didn’t make it he was able to save four of them! One of them is my brothers dog Hammer.
When my brother went to visit him today we were saddened to find out that he was burglarized on Friday, July 24th leaving extensive damage that he may not be able to come back from financially.
Dr. Santiago is an amazing person and lover of all animals. I can’t imagine him no longer doingthis. Even though I moved further away from East Orange I still bring my two cats to him because there really is no one else like him.
I still need to find out the actual cost of damage but I wanted to start a Go Fund Me as soon as possible to help spread the word. Even if you can’t donate please share. Maybe even share a story about your visit with him because I am sure he was nothing less than professional and from the heart.
Thankfully no animals were hurt during the burglary.
