Pawsability Dog Club Inc. (PDC) has a twofold mission:
1. We offer exceptional care for your pet, including daycare, grooming, walking, and training, at our brand new Bushwick facility.
2. At the same time, we provide worthwhile training and meaningful job opportunities for people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Our model provides a structured work environment and a meaningful career path while delivering exceptional and safe care for our clients.
If your dog can’t enjoy PDC’s services in Bushwick, you can still help us foster a neurodiverse workforce by bridging the gap in employment access for people with ASD.
Why is this important? Work gives individuals a sense of purpose and self-worth. For many, it defines who we are and is a source of pride. Work provides independence, financial stability, and social contact. For those on the spectrum, the lack of employment opportunities, after years of structure and routine during the schooling years, can be very challenging. Our team members have the ability to prosper through relevant work readiness and vocational training that leads to long term employment.
