Help Fitnext Launch Tomorrow’s Fitness Pros — Sponsor Taft High School Student Internships & ACE Certification

We have students from Taft High School ready to turn their passion for fitness into real careers. Through a new partnership between Taft’s Exercise Science department and Fitnext, these students will begin hands-on internships on December 2 — managing a gym environment, coaching real clients, building wellness programs with the Fitnext/Trainerize app, and learning business operations, client communication, and marketing.

Why this matters:

These internships give students more than practice — they give opportunity. With real client experience and professional training, students move from classroom learning to job-ready professionals. We’re also preparing them to earn the ACE Personal Trainer Certification, a credential that dramatically improves employability and confidence in the fitness industry. Beyond jobs, these interns will bring healthier habits and wellness programs to people in our community.

What we need:

We’ve secured a discounted ACE curriculum, but we need your help to cover essential costs so every student can participate and succeed.

- ACE course pack (hard copy + online materials + pre-test): $120 per student — 7 students = $840 (immediate need)

- ACE official exam fee: $99 per student — 7 students = $693 (paid when students are ready)

- Medical skeleton (teaching aid): $800

Fundraising goals:

- Immediate goal: $840 — purchase ACE course packs for all 7 students so they can begin studying right away.

- Full goal (stretch): $2,333 — covers course packs, exam fees, and the medical skeleton.

How your donation helps:

- Any donation helps!

- $25, $50, $120 — every gift moves a student closer to certification and career readiness.

- $120 fully funds one student’s course materials and study tools.

- $219 fully funds one student through course + exam.

Your support equips young people with professional skills, a recognized certification, and the experience to make a real impact through fitness.

Join us — give today and help launch the next generation of fitness professionals.

With gratitude,

Cris and the CPS Taft Exercise Science Team
