Parkside Trail Grooming Snowmobile

UPDATE: We bought the snowmobile and it is out grooming trails!!! We have adjusted our online fundraising goal to reflect donations received by check ($7000 raised to date!). We are $1000 away from paying off the loan offered by one of our members to allow grooming this season. PLEASE HELP US finish our fundraising and minimize their interest costs by showing your financial support.

Please help fund a replacement snowmobile for grooming Parkside and Petrifying Springs cross country ski trails! After many years of service the previous sled was inoperable so we are buying a Skidoo Skandic, Yamaha VK540, or similar utility snowmobile to handle the high power/low speed requirements of this application.
We are targeting a new sled for maximum reliability to take full advantage of good ski conditions. We have identified $3000 in initial donor funding and need to raise the remainder of the purchase price. If there is a shortage of funding, we will buy a used utility sled in best affordable condition. The snowmobile will be donated to the Kenosha County Parks Department with the agreed intented use of Parkside area snow grooming. Excess funds will be used to support ongoing maintenance and operation of the snowmobile and grooming equipment.
