**UPDATE**

PapaKat (Bill was his first name) passed yesterday after deteriorating quickly. He left us while Mom and I were holding his hands, and his good friend and nephew were there as well. I'm still in shock writing these words.

He leaves behind many beautiful memories, but also mounting debt from his medical care and now, funeral expenses as both Mom and I miss work to handle all of this.

TBH I hate asking for help as well, but the past few years have humbled me and I appreciate you all from the bottom of my heart. Papa kept saying "wow, what an amazing community you have. So many nice people". It blew his mind that there was such goodness out there.

Hi there, teknokat fam. As you know, PapaKat finds himself in a rehab center trying to get strong enough to stand and maybe even walk again with a walker.

His lung cancer has spread to his bones and is causing his spine to crumble (and not in the good way).

If you've been around him, you know he always has a kind word and an act of service to help everyone. He's never asked for pain medication or help for himself, and now is asking for both. Well, for the pain meds, he'd probably kill me for asking you all to help. ;-)

As he's the main worker (still farming at 77 ) and my mom is now having to facilitate his care, they are in desperate need of help, and even $5 helps.
