Palmer's Journey
Donation protected
Palmer, 22months old was suddenly attack by Rhinovirus/Entervirus that attacked his lungs and spinal cord. He was documented as the first in the 757 area code to have gotten this virus to his extent. Diagnosis transverse acute myelitis. If read upon, recovery is not yet confirmed for one who have it. He endured stomach clotting during his stay, which he is continuing to heal from. As parents through all of this, speaking on our sons medical care did not get us anywhere initially until mishaps happened. Immunoglobulin therapy was given to Palmer to hopefully help his body regain strength. (Very expensive/experimental treatment) Palmer today is able to move the right side of his body, still on the ventilator and unable to fully mobilize his own body. As a family of four with a five year old son aside from Palmer. We are asking for continuous prayers and donations towards his medical bills and the losses we have endured during the time of being near Palmers bedside. Everyday is challenging for us. We are accountable for the first 30 days of Palmers medical care with minimum help from insurance. He have had 40+ x-rays, many specialists on his case. No known discharge at this time but plans are intensive occupational and physical therapy home care once released. If he is taken off the ventilator and doesn't do well, he will be scheduled for a tracheotomy. Anything given is a blessing to us. #prayersforpaj
