Palmers Hurricane Florence Relief
Donation protected
My name is Kelsey Jenkins from Bakersfield Californian, a very close friend of Daryl and Shauntel Palmer.
Daryl and Shauntel are a loving family who live in Wilmington, NC. They have 2 preteen sons and care for 2 young foster children.
As you all know hurricane Florence has wrecked havoc this past week in the Carolinas. Unfortunately the Palmers have had to deal with several challenges due to storm. Thankfully they evacuated well in advance, and their family is safe and sound in Massachusetts. Their home in Wilmington, NC seems to be ok but they can't get back home yet due to road closures and flooding. While they are away they can't work and Daryl will be without a paycheck for the 2 weeks he'll be out of work.
To top it off, when they got to Massachusetts their family car caught fire and is now nondrivable. They will have to purchase a new car before they make the over 800 mile trip home.
We're asking for donations for this family to help purchase a new car, pay for accommodations for their safe journey home, and to help with bills they will be unable to pay due to Daryl not being able to work.
Any funds raised that the Palmers end up not needing will be used to help others in their community effected by the hurricane.
Thank you for your time, we will keep you updated on their journey home.
