Help Save Our Puppy's Life
Donation protected
As many of you have seen from my post last night, Taniya and I just adopted a puppy and named him Roscoe. He was bound for a shelter and we thought we were giving him a safe home to live a happy life. We took him to the vet for his first visit today and unfortunately he tested positive for the Parvo virus. For those of you who aren't familiar with it, the Parvo virus is extremely dangerous for unvaccinated puppies and often results in death. We were told that we could either put Roscoe down or try to treat it, but even with treatment his chances of survival are 50-50. So here we are with a brand new puppy and facing the proposition of losing him as quickly as we welcomed him into our family. We wouldn't be able to live with ourselves if we didn't at least give him a chance to fight. Our resources are limited and treatment can end up costing thousands of dollars. We've decided to move forward with the initial round of treatment to see how he responds and go from there. We committed as much as we could afford to saving Roscoe's life, but we're not sure that it will be enough to complete the treatment if he responds well initially. I hate asking for help, especially for money, but this little guy is too damn sweet for us to not explore every possible option to help give him a fighting chance to stick around. Anything will help.
