Outdoor Classroom For Walter Panas High School

Hello, My name is Ava and I am working on my Eagle Scout Project. My passion for the outdoors brought me to the scouting movement and I want to share my passion with the students at my school. The goal of my project is to develop and enhance the outdoor space at Walter Panas High School. As Spring approaches, the kids at my school are always asking the teachers to go outside. This will allow teachers to do that while still teaching. I plan to build and install 6 new benches and a podium. In addition, trees and shrubs will be planted to help beautify the area. This will also give clubs, and organizations a place to go to enjoy the outdoors and leave the stuffy classrooms behind.

Over the past 55 years, my troop, Troop 173 has helped over 100 young men become Eagle Scouts. I hope to be one of the first young ladies to reach this lofty achievement.
