Our lovely Ukrainian ladies

Hi there, Ben, myself and our little ladies have been so fortunate to help Mariya, her 15 year old daughter Ania, and their cat Umka, come to London, after fleeing the Ukraine 3 weeks ago.

They have left parents and grandparents and their entire life back in the Ukraine in a pursuit to find safety. We cannot imagine how that feels.

They arrived with us on 27 March 2022 with just a suitcase and a violin. They are truly two gorgeous individuals who find themselves in a foreign country with no friends and family, yet they still have a smile on their faces. The strength and resilience they are showing in such difficult times is inspiring and overwhelming.

Mariya is an impressive professional woman, who in the Ukraine worked as a paediatric Dentist, unfortunately, as things currently stand she is unable to work in England as a Dentist, yet she is already doing everything she can to find work.

In the meantime Mariya has very little cash and no savings. She is in the process of applying for Universal Credit, which is not yet set up for Ukrainian refugees.

We are therefore setting up this GoFundMe account to try and raise some funds for Mariya and Ania to buy them the things they need. Any contribution even as small as a few pounds would make a huge difference.

Thank you so much for your support, it is heartbreaking to witness first hand what these people are going through.
