On April 10th, 2019 Jay Ortega was killed in a horrible accident while helping a friend. Jay Ortega was the husband of Carolyn Ortega and the two of them have 5 children and are expecting another in less than 2 months. Carolyn will have to now solely raise her 6 children and pay for funeral and birthing expenses on her own. 

The Ortega family have been huge helpers in the Treasure Valley and beyond in the livestock community. The loss of a husband and father will be detrimental to this family and as a community we need to come together and support them just as Jay and his family would have supported us. 

The Ortega family will need funds to pay for a funeral and they will also need funds as Jay was the primary income maker in the family for the new daughter he was expecting. We have set the goal to $25000 and are aware that it will cost them significantly more than that but every penny will help this family.
