Operation am Herzen für Familienvater in Gambia

Wir sammeln für Aliou Bah, ein junger Familienvater aus Gambia, der Bruder meines Mannes, mein Schwager. Wir wollen ihm eine dringend notwendige, überlebenswichtige Operation am Herzen ermöglichen.

Gambia, das kleinste Land Afrikas und gleichzeitig eines der ärmsten. Das Gesundheitssystem ist in einem desolaten Zustand und eine medizinische Versorgung im Lande generell eingeschränkt und fast überall technisch, apparativ und hygienisch problematisch. Soetwas wie eine Krankenversicherung gibt es nicht.

Für eine genauere Diagnostik und Behandlung wird oft die Reise nach Dakar in den Senegal auf sich genommen.

Dort fand auch die Diagnostik für Aliou Bah statt.

Aliou ist erst 36 Jahre alt, Familienvater von vier Kindern, sein jüngster Sohn ist gerade erst 1 Jahr alt geworden.

Er war bisher Vollzeit berufstätig, doch mittlerweile sind seine Symptome so schlimm, dass er nicht mehr arbeiten gehen kann. Er leidet unter Erschöpfungszuständen und hat kaum die Energie einen normalen Tagesablauf durchzuhalten. Somit fehlt der Familie nicht nur das so wichtige Einkommen, er kann sich auch kaum noch aktiv mit in den Familienalltag einbringen.

Die Diagnostik in Dakar/ Senegal hat ergeben, dass er an einer Herzgefäßerkrankung leidet die unbedingt operiert werden muss.

Sollte er nicht operiert werden, wäre dies über kurz oder lang sein Todesurteil.

Die Operation kostet im Krankenhaus Centre Hospitalier National Universitaire CHNU de Fann in Dakar 3.500.000 CFA, das sind umgerechnet 5.335,27 €.

Ein durchschnittliches Monatseinkommen in Gambia liegt bei umgerechnet etwa 50 €.

Für Aliou eine unbezahlbare Summe.

Auch für uns ist es erstmal viel Geld, aber vielleicht nicht ganz so unmöglich wie es erstmal scheint.

Wir wollen ihm die Operation ermöglichen und ihm zur Seite stehen und mit dieser Plattform die Möglichkeit nutzen Geld für seine überlebenswichtige Operation zu sammeln.

Als Ziel haben wir uns 6.000 € gesetzt, damit er die Operation, aber auch die An- und Abfahrt sowie den Krankenhausaufenthalt ohne Sorgen antreten kann.

Keine Spende ist zu gering, kein Betrag zu klein. Zusammen können wir es schaffen.

We collect for Aliou Bah, a young family man from Gambia, my husband's brother, my brother-in-law. We want to make it possible for him to have an urgently needed, vital operation on his heart. Gambia, the smallest country in Africa and at the same time one of the poorest. The diagnostics in Dakar/Senegal showed that he was suffering from a cardiovascular disease that absolutely had to be operated on. Should he not be operated on, this would sooner or later be his death sentence. The operation at the Center Hospitalier National Universitaire CHNU de Fann in Dakar costs CFA 3,500,000, which is the equivalent of €5,335.27. An average monthly income in The Gambia is around 50 €. A priceless sum for Aliou. It's a lot of money for us too, but maybe not quite as impossible as it first seems. We want to make the operation possible for him and stand by his side and use this platform to collect money for his vital operation. We have set ourselves a goal of €6,000 so that he can start the operation, but also travel to and from the hospital without any worries. No donation is too small, no amount too small. Together we can do it. We wish so much that Aliou gets well again and can continue to take care of his family!
