Open Your Heart - Cycling & Fundraising for UNICEF!

Smurfit Westrock Europe, MEA & APAC supports the ‘’Open Your Heart’’ initiative. ‘’Open Your Heart’’ is a bike tour - by a team of 4 brave cyclists from both Smurfit Kappa and Westrock legacies- across the UK & Ireland region and stopping at several plants along the way. The objective is to fundraise money for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Ireland.

The tour will happen this year from May 5th to June 23rd 2025. The team will be composed of 4 Smurfit Westrock cyclists (2 cyclists from our plants in Northern Ireland, and 2 cyclists from our sites in France and Italy). Together, they will visit a selection of 24 Smurfit Westrock plants.

These visits will be an opportunity to demonstrate our common values and culture as part of the newly created combined company, as well as to share together friendly moments around this project, and the humanitarian cause it supports.
