Daniel Mochen, beloved father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, and bandmate passed away early Thursday morning on April 4, 2018, at the age of 41. Even though Daniel's heart lost the battle of heart failure, his heart won the war of sharing his love and funny personality with others.
Daniel Mochen had one of the brightest spirits I've ever known. His ability to make you laugh under any circumstance was his gift to me and to many others. His spirit will live on in the hearts and minds of us all.
One of my early memories of Daniel was when he and I attended a Morrisey (his favorite artist) concert. I remember Daniel looking like a kid in a candy store, as he explained to me that this guy is the Elvis of our time – as multiple frontline women proceeded to throw their bras on stage. That day I became one of Morrisey's biggest fans. Well done Daniel, well done.
Daniel always had big bold ideas. He had a creative mind and exercised many creative outlets such as music, painting, or business. No matter what he chose to work on, the people around him felt the love he put into his work.
I'm starting this fund to help my strong grandparents get through this time of grief and sadness. These two warriors have always kept their home and arms open to all of their children and were always there for Daniel through life's challenges.
The money raised will be going directly to Daniel's parents, Irene and David Mochen, to help pay funeral costs and other related financial challenges.
Thank you in advance for your support and kindness,
Andre Guerra, Daniel's nephew
