On a Mission: Support this Mama's Next Chapter

Hi, I’m Lailani — a 24-year-old single mom, artist, student, entrepreneur, and aspiring author and public speaker. I’m in a stretching season of life, walking by faith while raising my daughter, finishing school, and building the business I know I’m called to create.

I recently made it to the Quarterfinals in the National Supermom Competition, but didn’t advance. The Grand Prize winner receives $20k, a trip to Napa Valley, and a feature in Women's World Magazine. To continue advancing in the competition, lots of donations were needed. What was revealed to me was that there was still no guarantee of winning, besides all of that. As I prayed through it, I realized I don’t need a title to keep going — just the support to keep building.

Two months ago, my car was totaled after leaving church with my baby. By God’s grace, we weren’t seriously injured, but life without transportation has been challenging. Without reliable transportation, it’s been hard to get around, make additional income, or take my daughter out like I used to. I’ve had to rely on others just to do everyday things, and as a solo parent with no childcare, it's made an already demanding season even heavier.

But I’m not giving up. I know this is not the end of my story.

I’ve written the first draft of my book, restarted hosting creative workshops, and am working to launch a brand rooted in authenticity, healing, and purpose. I have a vision for a life and business that glorifies God while helping people heal, grow, and rise. But I need support to keep going.

Here’s what I’d use $20k for:

• A reliable car to regain independence

• Business + community investments: website, photography, marketing, coaching, workshop supplies

• A small emergency fund so I’m not living on the edge while also studying and building

• 10% tithe to mothers on assignment

Why I’m Asking

For a long time, I believed I had to do it all on my own. Be strong. Be unshakable. Be "Supermom". But I’m no longer trying to win that competition — literally or figuratively.

I’m learning that strength is in surrender. That receiving is also holy. And that asking for support is not weakness — it’s wisdom.
